Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source Ltd in Kent is seeking a Permanent Estimator / Senior Estimator to join the pre-construction team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for structural and architectural metalwork, including stairs, balustrades, railings and balconies, liaising with clients and the design team to optimise costs.

The role requires proven estimating experience in metalwork, strong knowledge of drawings and specifications, and excellent numerical skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction with metalwork focus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyse project drawings, specifications and documentation to determine requirements.
• Quantify materials, labour and resources for metalwork projects.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including materials, labour, equipment and overheads.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Review and negotiate bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Participate in project meetings, providing cost insights and value engineering input.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and pricing data; monitor costs through construction.
