Job summary

Keltbray is seeking a Senior Estimator – Renewables to lead estimating across grid connections, BESS BoP and wind eBoP, providing cost intelligence from feasibility through to contract award. You will shape robust, defensible estimates aligned to delivery method, risk and programme constraints, supporting early contractor engagement and tendering.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in estimating renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of grid connections, BESS BoP and/or wind eBoP works.
• Ability to lead complex estimates across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• High level of commercial acumen and numerical capability.
• Ability to interpret contracts, technical scopes and employer’s requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present estimates at senior level.
• Highly organised and detail-focused in fast-moving pre-construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates, cost plans and pricing submissions for renewables projects (grid, BESS BoP, wind eBoP).
• Develop cost models across design maturity from feasibility to tender.
• Provide auditable breakdowns of assumptions and risk allowances.
• Support target cost, open-book and negotiated pricing as required.
• Collaborate with design, planning, commercial teams to align pricing and strategy.
• Engage with suppliers to test pricing and risk allocations.
• Maintain estimating standards and feed actual data back into future estimates.
