Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead complex bids for major infrastructure projects, coordinating multinational bid teams and ensuring exceptional commercial and technical submissions. The role focuses on driving bid strategy from inception to contract award, while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships within a high-profile rail civil / FRC context.

• Experience leading bid teams on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.

• Experience managing multiple high-value tenders simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex bids from initial enquiry through to contract award.
• Develop bid strategies with senior leadership.
• Chair bid meetings and lead multidisciplinary estimating teams.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Manage tender budgets, programmes and risk registers.
• Prepare commercial and technical submissions to a high standard.
• Lead tender settlement meetings and project handovers.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators and bid professionals.
