Job summary

Aureos is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead bids for rail civils projects, including price formation, tender documentation and risk analysis. You will coordinate with planners, bid managers and site teams to develop competitive, robust estimates.

You will review tender information, perform quantity take-offs, and use estimating software while applying best industry practices. A UK driving licence and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years proven Estimator experience in civil engineering, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods including rail civils and earthworks.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, tenders and competitive quotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates and tender submissions for rail civils projects.
• Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations; identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare detailed tender documentation and pricing schedules for submission.
• Coordinate with planner, bid manager and delivery teams to ensure commercially viable estimates.
• Attend site visits where required to assess conditions and risks.
