Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan in North Devon is seeking an experienced Estimator/Surveyor to join their established construction team. You will price tenders and support financial management from pre-construction through to completion.

The role covers a varied portfolio across healthcare, education, commercial, residential and housebuilding with project values from £50k to £6m. A full UK driving licence is required and a permanent, full-time position offers a company car and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Commercially aware and numerate with ability to interpret drawings and specs.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Experience across pre-construction and commercial stages preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, quotations and project budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and assess labour and materials.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with tender submissions and bidding process.
• Prepare valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and manage variations.
