Job summary

Mane Contract Services in Glasgow is looking for an experienced Senior P&R Estimator to join a growing Power & Renewables business. You will lead estimating for HV substation and windfarm projects, driving commercially robust tenders from enquiry through submission to handover.

The role requires 5+ years in construction, power, or renewables, with HV substations or windfarms exposure, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience within construction, power, electrical infrastructure or renewables.
• Experience with HV substations and/or windfarm projects.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and Employer’s Requirements.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed estimates and quantity take-offs.
• Reviewing Electrical Technical Specifications and Employer’s Requirements.
• Estimating for HV substations and windfarm projects.
• Managing the end-to-end tendering process.
• Coordinating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Preparing inclusions, exclusions, clarifications and programmes.
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and commercial exposures.
• Managing multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Supporting successful project handovers to the Construction Team.
• Providing guidance and support to junior estimators.

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior P&R Estimator to join a growing business operating across the Power & Renewables sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator to take a key role in delivering commercially robust tenders for major HV substation and windfarm projects.

The Role:

You’ll manage the estimating and tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission and successful project handover, working closely with engineering, procurement, commercial and construction teams.
