Job summary

Hawkes Resourcing Group is working with an established specialist contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to their commercial team in London. The role focuses on taking ownership of tenders from enquiry through submission, with a background in flooring, tiling, stone or specialist finishes.

You will review drawings, prepare take-offs, price labour and materials, obtain quotations, identify risk, and manage tender clarifications.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating experience within specialist construction or subcontracting.
• 1nline reading and interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Commercial awareness and client-facing confidence.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiries, drawings and specifications.
• Produce detailed take-offs and cost plans.
• Price labour, materials and subcontract packages.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risk and scope gaps.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders.
• Manage tender clarifications and revisions.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support commercial negotiations.
• Assist with project handover after tenders.
