Job summary

The Highfield Company is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its Housing Division, a specialist piling contractor focused on housing projects. This role centers on pricing and tendering activities, reviewing drawings and specifications, and contributing to the bid process.

Ideal candidates will have estimating experience in piling, foundations or construction, with strong numerical and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
• Support the development of commercially competitive bids.

The Opportunity

An established specialist piling contractor is looking to recruit an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its Housing Division.

This is an opportunity to join a business operating within the piling and foundations sector, contributing to the pricing and tendering of housing projects.

The business is open to candidates at both Estimator and Senior Estimator level, with the position and responsibilities reflecting the successful candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions.
