Job summary

Enable Resourcing Limited is partnering with a leading specialist contractor delivering complex projects across the UK in RC Frame, Civil Engineering, Rail and Structural Alterations. They seek a Senior Estimator to join the pre-construction team and drive competitive tenders.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) with offices in Canning Town, Birmingham and Runcorn, a clear progression path, and an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Senior Estimator experience in RC Frame, Civil Eng, Rail or Structural Alterations.
• Experience delivering estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working closely with commercial, operational and pre-construction teams.
• Supporting bid strategy and tender presentations.
• Ensuring tender submissions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Our client is a leading specialist contractor delivering complex projects across the UK within the RC Frame, Civil Engineering, Rail and Structural Alterations sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking to appoint experienced Senior Estimators to join their established pre-construction team.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of competitive tenders across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements

Applicants should have previous Senior Estimator experience within one or more of the following sectors:

• RC Frame & Groundworks
• Civil Engineering
• Rail Infrastructure
• Structural Alterations
• Demolition & Enabling Works

You will also have:

• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience delivering estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
