Qualifications

• Candidates should have estimating experience within piling, foundations, ground engineering or construction.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing tenders and ownership of estimating activities at Senior level.

Responsabilités

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
• Support the development of commercially competitive bids.
• For Senior Estimator level, there will be scope for greater ownership of the tendering process and providing wider commercial input.

The Opportunity

An established specialist piling contractor is looking to recruit an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its Housing Division.

This is an opportunity to join a business operating within the piling and foundations sector, contributing to the pricing and tendering of housing projects.

The business is open to candidates at both Estimator and Senior Estimator level, with the position and responsibilities reflecting the successful candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
