Hours of Work: Monday-Thursday 0800-1700
Friday 0800-1600

As part of our ongoing growth strategy, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join us. You will play a crucial part in team development, work on exciting projects, prepare tenders, compare supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and prepare detailed cost estimates.

As a Senior Estimator, you must possess strong technical skills in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. The role suits a dynamic Estimator involved in early process implementation. You will provide knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable decisions, whilst successfully securing contracts.

About the role

• General management of Estimating Team;
• Monitor enquiries within the company and communicate directly with customers and end users;
• Prepare quotations involving pressing, fabrication, machining, and subcontract work;
• Work from customer drawings to produce detailed quotations;
• Produce accurate manufacturing cost estimates from detailed client drawings;
• Attend in-house project meetings as necessary to ensure cost-effective enquiry management;
• Be mindful of deadlines, aim to meet them, and keep all involved informed of delays.

• Highly literate and numerate, commercially astute;
• Confident in dealing with decision makers and customers directly;
• Proficient in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools;
• Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels;
• Committed to quality and able to promote its importance;
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
