Job summary

KBR is seeking a highly experienced Principal Estimator to lead capital cost estimating across energy, chemicals and energy transition projects, including onshore and offshore work. This senior role requires developing robust, auditable estimates and guiding the estimating team from early studies through EPC execution.

You will collaborate with project teams, clients and senior leadership to ensure estimates are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with procedures, aiding critical investment

Qualifications

• Significant estimating experience in energy, chemicals, offshore and onshore sectors.
• Proven ability to prepare estimates for FEED and EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies and client presentations.
• Experience leading estimating teams and mentoring junior estimators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of all classes of capital cost estimates.
• Define scope, methodologies, work plans and deliverables for projects.
• Develop estimates that are auditable, risk-assessed and aligned with procedures.
• Establish key estimate assumptions including equipment, materials and escalations.
• Develop cost estimates aligned to WBS and CBS structures.
• Source labour rates and productivity factors for global projects.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Mentor and supervise assigned estimators on project activities.
• Support independent estimate reviews and risk analyses.
