Job summary

Sisk Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Construction UK Business. The role is hybrid and based from one of our UK offices in Solihull, St Albans or Warrington. We welcome applicants from Tier 1, Regional and Sub Contractors.

The Senior Estimator will ensure tender costs are prepared accurately, taking into account construction methods and project circumstances. You will lead tender cost analysis, manage documentation, develop value engineering opportunities, and support

Qualifications

Essential: Good working knowledge of NEC, ICE and ICC forms of contract.
Desirable: analytical and numerical ability to evaluate detailed specifications, costs and risks.
Desirable: knowledge of estimating processes and practice within a Tier 1 contractor.

Responsibilities

Log and manage tender documentation including addendums and client correspondence.
Prepare subcontractor enquiry schedules with input from tender team and procurement.
Issue subcontract enquiries including scope of works and attendance schedules.
Issue material enquiries and assess supplier responses; establish competition levels and benchmark against market conditions.
Arrange for production of bills of quantities and carry out spot checks on measures and descriptions.
Chase tender returns, raise queries and maintain enquiry schedules.
Review design information on design and build tenders to identify value savings.
Assist in tender risk and opportunity assessments and in value engineering schedules.
