Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd in the UK is seeking an Estimator for our Construction UK Business. The role is hybrid and based from one of our offices in Solihull, St Albans or Warrington, with applicants from Tier 1, Regional and Sub Contractors welcomed.

You will prepare accurate project costs, support tender submissions, manage subcontractor enquiries and attend cost reviews to help deliver successful projects. Responsibilities include benchmarking, preparing schedules, value engineering support, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of estimating practices and NEC contracts.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• CSCS card required.
• Ideally 5 years site-based experience.

Responsibilities

• Log tender documents, addendums and client correspondence and issue to relevant team members.
• Prepare subcontractor enquiry schedules using input from tender team and procurement.
• Issue subcontract enquiries with scope of works and attendance schedules when required.
• Benchmark competition levels against market conditions.
• Arrange bills of quantities and carry out spot checks on measures and descriptions.
• Manage and record delivered materials including concrete, reinforcement and structural products.
• Assist with installation of site facilities and hoardings.
• Carry out snagging and de-snagging before handover.
