Job summary

MK CONSULT LTD in Oldham is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating function on a range of construction projects. You will produce competitive tenders to support profitable work and collaborate with Directors, Pre-Construction, Commercial and Operational teams to drive bid success.

You will manage the tender process from enquiry through to submission, review documentation, perform take-offs and cost plans, and identify value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement routes and contract forms.
• Experience pricing projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare or public sector works.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to strict deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Assist in developing relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Senior Estimator

Salary: £70k plus package

With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and client satisfaction, we continue to secure exciting opportunities across a range of sectors and are now looking to strengthen our Pre-Construction team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Estimator.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the estimating function on a variety of construction projects, producing competitive tenders and supporting the business in securing profitable work.

Working closely with Directors, Pre-Construction, Commercial and Operational teams, you will manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
