Wetherfield Recruitment is seeking a client-facing Estimator to price groundworks, civils and RC frame tenders across London and the South East. You will present tenders to main contractors and developers, and help win work for the business.

You will work with the existing technical estimator to combine front-of-house commercial input with technical detail, identify new opportunities and hand over won work to delivery teams.

Competenze

• Estimating experience with groundworks, civils or RC frame contractors.
• Personable and confident with clients, able to win work as well as estimate.
• Strong communicator with business development or sales ability.
• Must be able to grow a confident client-facing presence.

The business's needs a client-facing Estimator to help win work. You will price groundworks and RC frame packages, and represent and sell the business to main contractors and developers.

Our client is an established groundworks, civils and RC frame contractor with a brilliant track record across London and the South East. They deliver for tier-one contractors and major housebuilders on residential, commercial, education and infrastructure projects, with a directly employed workforce and strong leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Price groundworks, civils and RC frame tenders accurately and on time
• Present tenders to clients and build strong working relationships with main contractors and developers
• Follow up submissions, negotiate and convert tenders into secured work
• Work alongside the existing technical estimator, adding a front-of-house, commercial and business development strength
• Identify new opportunities and grow the business's client base
• Hand over won work to the delivery team with a clear tender breakdown

About you

• Estimating experience with a groundworks, civils or RC frame contractor
• Personable and confident with clients, able to build rapport and win work, not only produce estimates
• Strong communicator, with business development or sales ability
• You don't need to be naturally outgoing, but you must be able to grow a confident client-facing presence
