Solum Assets Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimator - Civil Engineering (First Principles) to price tenders from £250k to £3m within a tight, experienced team. You will own first principles pricing, take-offs, and BOQ measurement for diverse civil projects in a reputable contracting business.

You will engage with Directors at tender adjudication, attend prestart meetings, and manage workload across tenders while nurturing relationships with a Blue Chip client base.

Qualifications

• Solid experience within the Civil Engineering subcontracting sector.
• First Principles Estimating.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills and experience.

Senior Estimator - Civil Engineering (First Principles)

Salary circa £70,000 - £100,000 + package (depending on experience)

Civil Engineering projects

Senior Estimator required from a Civil Engineering background by a very reputable and well recognised civil engineering contracting business.

Working in a small but experienced team you will be responsible for the accurate pricing of tenders valued from £250k - £3m.

Typical Duties:

• First principles pricing of projects
• Take offs, measurement and rates build up
• BOQ measurement
• Spotting risk and reward opportunities
• Attending tender adjudication meetings with Directors
• Attending prestart meetings at project stage
• Client and subcontractor communication when required
• Overseeing and managing tenders and bids workload individually and sometimes with the team
• Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base
• Working for a very well-established business, a well known contracting business

Covering civil engineering including but not limited to:

• Commercial, Industrial, Residential and sometimes Public Realm projects
• Earthworks, Groundworks, Excavations, Foundations, Drainage, Tanks, Ponds, Sub Structures, Concrete Yards, Structures, and Roads
