Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director in Estimating to lead production of detailed estimates and cost plans for a range of projects and programmes. You will drive best-practice estimating and collaborate with Directors to win work and develop new opportunities.

You will mentor staff, interface with clients and other consultants, and contribute to cross-functional bidding and programme set-up efforts across Infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven Estimating Management experience.
• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Experience with estimating software packages.
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
• Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
• Experience in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, air, power, highways).
• Experience in leading and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes.
• Play a leading role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
• Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
• Provide direction to staff working for you and with you on specific tasks.
• Staff management where appropriate.
• Knowledge management.
