Job summary

The post holder will be a key member of the Project Team and will have an important role in ensuring delivery of a high quality capital project. Be professionally accountable for estates project construction and implementation of delegated Schemes within the Trust's Investment Programme to improve the environment for patients and staff.

The post holder is the lead specialist responsible for long term planning, preparing and managing the Estates capital project under the Our Capital Project

Qualifications

• Specialist professional construction and estates project advice to staff and senior management.
• Ability to independently manage a portfolio of complex delegated capital projects from inception to completion.
• Experience in budget management and commissioning of health buildings.

Responsibilities

• Work as a specialist professional as part of the Estates Department.
• Independently manage a portfolio of complicated delegated projects from inception to completion.
• Appoint and manage external consultants within an authorised budget as Budget Holder.
• Manage Estates Capital Budgets, professional services, contractor works and physical assets as part of the Trust Capital Programme.
• Provide guidance and leadership to Trainee Project Managers.
• Line management of the 8a Capital Projects Manager and Project Assistants.
