The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Project Manager (NHS AfC Band 8b) to lead capital projects within the Estates Department as part of the Investment Programme. The role focuses on long-term planning, business case delivery, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

You will oversee budgets, manage external consultants, and provide expert guidance to staff and senior leaders to deliver high-quality healthcare environments for patients and staff.

• Masters in construction / engineering or related field.
• Masters in construction.

Mansioni

• To work as a specialist professional as part of the Estates Department.
• To provide expert specialist and professional construction and estates projects advice to other Estates staff, Directors, Senior Management, Trust Boards and external agencies.
• To independently manage a portfolio of complicated delegated projects from inception to completion, including full project management, design, costs, contract administration, site supervision and commissioning under the Trust Capital Programme.
• To appoint and manage external professional consultants within an authorised budget as a Budget Holder.
• To manage Estates Capital Budgets, professional services, contractor works and physical assets as part of the Trust Capital Programme.
• To be responsible for producing and implementing a number of department processes and procedures.
• To support and deputise for Senior Managers within the Estates Department as and when required.
• Responsible for the operational commissioning of health buildings
• To provide guidance and leadership to Trainee Project Managers.
• To provide cover for colleagues as appropriate and delegate for the Capital Manager as and when required and during periods of absence.
• Line management of the 8a Capital Projects Manager and Project Assistants.
