Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to join the UK EPC delivery group in Birmingham. You will manage transmission projects across the UK, lead safety and CDM, coordinate project execution, and act as the primary client contact for projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 7 years' transmission project experience with at least 4 years in substation-focused management.

Qualifications

• Safety and CDM compliance knowledge
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Professional qualification or accreditation preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder mgmt
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness and ability to travel
• IT literate with good Microsoft Office knowledge
• Membership of relevant industry body preferred (e.g., IET, ICE)

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and CDM compliance for EPC projects in your portfolio.
• Coordinate all aspects of EPC Transmission project execution.
• Act as primary client contact for your projects.
• Ensure on-time delivery and maintain client relationships with subcontractors.
• Support EPC proposals and presentations.
• Provide project management from concept to completion with ENG and procurement inputs.
• Drive schedules, manage scope, and control costs with project controls.
• Assist in recruiting project staff as the business grows.
• Support internal risk reviews and approvals.
• Develop project execution plans and contract documents.
• Ensure deliverables meet client satisfaction and provide progress reports.
• Interact professionally with clients and colleagues to achieve objectives.
