Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement for large EPC infrastructure projects in the UK. You will define sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance across site infrastructure and HV substation programs.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will collaborate with project teams, manage risks, and drive improvements to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards while travel to supplier sites is estimated at 10-15%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement experience in large-scale EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Experience defining and executing sourcing strategies and negotiating supplier contracts.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms, risk management, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as procurement partner for site infrastructure on large EPC high voltage substation projects.
• Ensure procurement processes are implemented during bid and execution phases.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, negotiating pricing and terms.
• Define sourcing strategies for assigned commodities aligned with project goals.
• Identify and manage supplier risks to mitigate costs of non-conformance.
• Drive improvement initiatives across procurement to foster a high-performance culture.
• Manage strategic relationships with key framework partners.
