Aureos is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage sourcing and procurement of electrical components and construction materials for projects within the UK DNO sector, notably SPEN and SSEN. The role emphasizes strong administration, communication and interpersonal skills to support fast-paced delivery.

The candidate will ensure compliance with DNO specifications, maintain records, and collaborate with Finance to resolve invoice issues, enabling a smooth P2P process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Buyer/Buyer within the energy/construction or M&E sector.
• CIPS Level 4 qualification or above.
• Experience procuring materials for substations, construction or M&E projects.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Source and procure goods related to substations including electrical components.
• Adhere to specs of DNO approved materials list for accurate procurement.
• Support procurement strategies for both Aureos and the Client.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts and supplier information; resolve invoice issues to enable P2P.
