Leonardo UK in Southampton is seeking Senior/Principal Systems Engineers to deliver cutting-edge EO/IR capabilities across multiple projects. You will bridge theory and practical implementation, leading requirements, modelling, verification, and cross-functional collaboration within a diverse product portfolio.

You will contribute to the full engineering lifecycle, apply MBSE tools, and work with stakeholders to shape technical vision while thriving in dynamic, high-performance teams.

Qualifications

• Education in a STEM field with EO/IR experience.
• Experience bridging theory to implementation in complex systems.
• Familiarity with MBSE and model-based design workflows.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Bridge theory and practice to deliver high-performance EO/IR systems.
• Lead requirements capture, verification, and validation across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver EO/IR equipment on time.
• Apply and improve systems engineering processes across programs.
