Leonardo UK seeks a Principal Electro-Optic Systems Engineer to lead the integration and testing of EO seeker prototypes. You will specify, develop, and be involved in system testing, collaborating with electronics, software, firmware, and mechanical engineering experts.

Hybrid working options are available. The role emphasises applied engineering experience over deep theory in EO/IR systems, with mentoring and training to advance into a senior systems engineering path.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electro-optics system development and integration.
• An engineering or science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Background in electronic engineering with EO systems understanding and potential systems engineering exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation of new seeker concepts and system requirements.
• Characterise performance with test engineers and analyse data.
• Develop algorithms and contribute to trials and testing.
