Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior or Principal Systems Engineer to define and manage EO system requirements across the lifecycle. You will translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements and support architecture, interfaces and V&V planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in requirements management within a complex engineering environment.
• Ability to analyse and manage stakeholder requirements.
• Experience developing system and subsystem requirements.
• Strong understanding of good requirements practice, traceability, verification and change management.
• Experience using requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and manage stakeholder requirements, ensuring they are clearly understood, traceable and aligned to programme objectives.
• Develop and maintain EO system and subsystem requirements across the lifecycle.
• Support DOORS-based baselines, traceability and change control.
• Support the development of functional architectures and allocation of requirements to elements.
• Assist interface definition and management with clearly specified interfaces.
• Contribute to V&V planning and testable requirements.
• Develop non-functional requirements such as safety, security, manufacturability, or supportability.
• Communicate progress, risks and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to keep requirements aligned with design and programme needs.
• Scope and plan requirements activities and documentation, including governance artefacts.
