Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Associate/Associate Environmental Consultant to lead multi-disciplinary teams on environmental assessments and planning applications across major infrastructure projects. You will coordinate scoping, deliver EIA processes, and manage risk with a focus on delivering sustainable, place-based solutions.

The role involves engaging clients and regulators, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development within a flexible, hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Requires relevant academic or professional qualifications.
• Chartership through a relevant organisation is preferred.
• Demonstrable knowledge of EIA and UK legislation; experience on DCO schemes is beneficial.
• Proven track record in environmental management for large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects from feasibility to Environmental Impact Assessment for planning applications.
• Manage project teams, budgets, and schedules; ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior staff and liaise with stakeholders.
