Job summary

BAM Nuttall Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor to join our Environmental Sustainability team, supporting energy sector projects across Scotland. The role leads on EMS application, low carbon construction, biodiversity, waste and pollution management, with a focus on delivering sustainability excellence across BAM Infrastructure.

You will prepare project-specific documentation, develop training, and build relationships with regulators and supply chain

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Environmental Management with minimum 5 year of experience working in an environmental role (preferably in construction).
• Associate-level or above member of ISEP or similar professional body. Working towards Full Member and/or Chartered Environmentalist.
• Experience in training, coaching and mentoring to environment staff and other key roles within the business.
• Articulate and engaging communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project-specific environmental documentation & records.
• Support the implementation and delivery of project level EMS and customer requirements.
• Investigate environmental incidents and advise on appropriate actions.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of internal environmental sustainability training.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders, regulators and supply chain specialists; attend project progress meetings and workshops providing input and reporting on environmental issues.
• Identify and communicate best practice and promote continual improvement, including feedback on environmental performance.
