Job summary

SEPA in Scotland is recruiting 3 full-time Senior Environment Protection Officers on a permanent basis. You will supervise a team in the Compliance Function, overseeing regulatory processes, environmental performance and enforcement actions to protect Scotland's environment.

Based in the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling, Perth, Glasgow Central and Lanarkshire region, the role offers hybrid/flexible working, generous leave, LGPS and training opportunities to develop expertise while delivering robust

Qualifications

Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
Good planning and organisational abilities.
Strong knowledge of pollution control, event response, compliance and enforcement legislations.
Ability to support, develop, and coach officers and engage with other teams.

Responsibilities

Allocate and supervise work for a team and monitor quality to ensure excellent customer service.
Lead on contentious, complex or sensitive enforcement activities within delegated boundaries.
Provide regulatory guidance to internal and external stakeholders and justify courses of action.
