Job summary

SEPA in Scotland is recruiting two full-time Environment Protection Officers within the Enforcement Function on a permanent basis. You will investigate environmental offending, gather evidence, and support field operations to ensure compliance and protect Scotland's environment.

The role requires a degree in a relevant science or equivalent experience, proven enforcement and investigative skills, and the ability to produce detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Regulatory/enforcement experience desired.
• Investigative experience in environmental contexts.
• Experience producing formal written reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into environmental crime and gather evidence.
• Perform targeted site visits and support field operations.
• Advise local teams and assist with inquiries to ensure enforcement compliance.
• Engage with operators and communities to address environmental issues.
