The Southwest hub is looking for two Senior Environmental Project Managers (SEPM), one permanent and one fixed-term contract of 24 months, to join our National Environmental Assessment and Sustainability team (NEAS).
This advert is for the Southwest of England. However, applicants successful at interview from any geographical location will be held on our reserve list for the next 6 months and may be offered roles in other teams nationally if vacancies arise.
You will provide technical environmental advice relating to design, environmental risk, and programme management, acting as an ‘intelligent client’ on behalf of Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM).
Duties include:
NEAS manages the Environmental Assessment of the Environment Agency’s capital projects and relevant strategies and plans to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and policy. We aim to identify and promote opportunities to improve the environment for people and wildlife.
Responding to incidents is a central part of our work. You will be required to have an incident role and be available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during such events. This may include additional payment, full training, and flexible working arrangements to support your incident role.
