Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Environmental Construction Consultant Delivery Lead to join our Environmental Management & Assessment team in the UK. The role focuses on moving projects from primary consent into delivery, coordinating environmental licenses, permits and approvals to enable construction and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-construction and construction environmental management and delivery.
• Understanding of discharge of requirements/conditions and environmental plans.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate complex delivery.
• Experience coordinating secondary permits and consents across major projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-consent and secondary consents delivery across major infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership and consistent delivery standards across projects.
• Act as senior strategic lead on post-consent and construction commissions.
• Advise on discharge of environmental planning conditions and DCO requirements.
• Develop and implement environmental compliance processes through design stages.
• Forecast demand, manage resources, and develop capability-building plans.
• Mentor junior colleagues and promote a safe, inclusive working culture.
