Amey Consulting is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to enhance environmental assessments across the Midlands SDF projects. You will collaborate with design teams and National Highways clients to deliver scoping reports through to full environmental assessments.

The role offers flexibility with hybrid work patterns and opportunities to mentor junior staff, while delivering high-quality consultancy services across biodiversity, landscape, heritage, and climate topics.

Competenze

• 6+ years delivering environmental assessment reporting within a consultancy environment.
• Membership of a professional body or relevant qualifications leading to membership.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment with environment, design teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Experience on infrastructure projects and contractual management is desirable.
• Ability to manage budgets, resourcing and plan workload to deliver on time and on budget.

Mansioni

• Line manage and mentor junior team members, providing environmental input to SDF schemes in the Midlands.
• Input into budgets and forecasting of future work.
• Provide guidance on best methods and practice to meet technical and project requirements.
• Keep up to date with industry best practice.
• Work closely with ecologists to advise on environmental aspects, including environmental assessments and ecological studies.
• Undertake environmental site visits and surveys to inform project designers across disciplines.
• Prepare and review technical reports in line with legislation and guidance.
• Liaise with statutory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Natural England.
