Amey Consulting – Lead Senior Civil Engineer in Nottingham seeks a permanent Lead Senior Civil Engineer to join our Consulting Highways Team. The role offers hybrid and flexible working patterns with 40-hour weeks and opportunities across the Midlands frameworks.

You will lead design teams on road schemes, mentor junior designers and ensure technical excellence while supporting bids and health and safety management within the portfolio.

Qualifications

Experience in a senior engineer role or equivalent.
Ability to produce technically sound engineering solutions
Experience with health, safety and welfare management incl. CDM regs
Knowledge of design and specification process and risk management

Responsibilities

Lead a team to deliver technically sound highway design solutions.
Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation for schemes.
Mentor junior designers and oversee their work.
Own the commercial success of projects, manage budgets and costs.
Liaise with client and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
Contribute to bids and business development activities.
Drive health and safety practices within the team.
