Job summary

Amey Consulting is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Midlands team, delivering Environmental Assessments across the SDF programme for National Highways. You will lead projects, mentor junior staff and collaborate with design teams and clients to shape sustainable infrastructure solutions.

We seek a degree in Environmental Science or equivalent and 6+ years’ consultancy experience. Hybrid/remote options are available, with a strong focus on budgets, planning and delivering

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience delivering environmental assessment reporting within a consultancy.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments with design teams and clients.
• Experience with budgets, resourcing and workload planning.

Responsibilities

• Line manage and mentor junior team members.
• Input into budgets and forecasting of future work.
• Provide guidance on best practices to meet project requirements.
• Keep up to date with industry best practice.
• Work with ecologists to advise on environmental aspects.
• Undertake environmental site visits and surveys.
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Liaise with statutory bodies.
