Job summary

Mining Remediation Authority is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to influence environmental decisions from concept through delivery. You will provide clear, proportionate advice across diverse projects, shaping surveys, permits and regulatory strategies while engaging regulators and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes independent, senior-level guidance, with hybrid working and opportunities to impact mine water treatment, land remediation and river pollution prevention across Britain.

Qualifications

• Experience advising live multidisciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of environmental assessment, planning, consenting or permitting.
• Experience engaging regulators and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret evidence and make risk-based recommendations.
• Degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Identify environmental risks and opportunities across projects.
• Shape environmental surveys, assessments and strategies.
• Advise on planning, permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Review work delivered by consultants and contractors.
• Engage with regulators and environmental stakeholders.
• Embed sustainability and nature recovery in delivery.
• Visit sites across Britain to understand challenges and solutions.
