Job summary

Caddick Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our North West and Midlands regional team. You will assess site environmental compliance, drive records accuracy, and provide guidance on permits, licences and environmental legislation.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven reporting, and upskilling site teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainable construction practices. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of implementing environmental controls in construction.
• Experience managing materials and waste in construction settings.
• Knowledge of permits, consents and licences used in construction.
• Solid understanding of UK environmental legislation and compliance.
• Full UK driving licence; CSCS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and report on site environmental compliance using digitised reporting systems.
• Drive completeness and accuracy of environmental records (e.g. waste).
• Review effectiveness of environmental control measures.
• Support site-level reviews of plans, aspects and impacts registers and materials management.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and report on site environmental compliance and data collection via our digitised reporting system
• Drive completeness and accuracy of environmental records (e.g. waste)
• Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures
• Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental controls including plans, aspects and
• impacts registers and materials management
• Provide guidance on permits, consents and licences
• Provide assistance with environmental incident investigations
• Provide site teams with guidance on environmental legislation and other requirements
• Supports the upskilling of site teams in environmental matters

What We’re Looking For

Skills and Experience

• Strong experience of environmental controls and management systems within the construction Industry
• Experience of materials management, including around waste, soils and recycled materials
• Knowledge of permits, consents and licences relevant to the construction industry
• Good working knowledge of UK environmental legislation
• Experience of working with formal environmental management systemFull UK driving licence
• CSCS card (desirable)
• Internal auditor qualification (desirable)
