Job summary

Capita is recruiting a Programme Director to lead the Education Network Northern Ireland (ENNI) programme. The role combines strategic leadership with accountable delivery, governance and timely execution of large, complex initiatives in a public sector environment.

Based in Northern Ireland, the role is predominantly home-based with occasional travel to the Antrim office. Capita is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale managed services or complex change programmes.
• Delivery success in regulated, public sector or similarly complex environments.
• Strong governance, risk, financial and commercial management capability.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing third-party suppliers.
• Credible executive-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to turn complex delivery challenges into clear decisions, recovery actions and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the ENNI programme and associated projects.
• Maintain the integrated programme roadmap, plan, dependencies and delivery strategy.
• Provide leadership to project managers, PMO resources and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Own programme governance, reporting, assurance, RAID, change control and escalation.
• Lead recovery planning where delivery, timelines or customer commitments are at risk.
• Build trusted relationships with senior Education Authority, partner and Capita stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of budgets, forecasts, commercial performance and contractual obligations.
• Drive a culture of professionalism, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
