Job summary

Capita plc is seeking a Programme Director to lead the Education Network Northern Ireland (ENNI) programme. This role oversees delivery, governance and strategic leadership, ensuring contractual commitments and budgets are met while driving transformation.

The role is based in Northern Ireland and predominantly home-based, with occasional attendance at the Antrim office. You will build relationships with Education Authority, partners and Capita stakeholders to achieve ambitious outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale managed services or complex change programmes.
• Delivery experience in regulated or public sector environments.
• Strong governance, risk and financial management capabilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing suppliers.
• Credible executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex delivery challenges into actionable recovery steps.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the ENNI programme and associated projects.
• Maintain the integrated programme roadmap, plan, dependencies and delivery strategy.
• Provide leadership to project managers, PMO resources and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Own programme governance, reporting, assurance, RAID, change control and escalation.
• Lead recovery planning where delivery, timelines or customer commitments are at risk.
• Build trusted relationships with senior Education Authority, partner and Capita stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of budgets, forecasts, commercial performance and contractual obligations.
• Drive a culture of professionalism, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
