Job summary

Circle Health Group in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join the Engineering department at Ross Hall Hospital. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) on a permanent basis, with a salary up to £47,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will provide maintenance and breakdown support, manage engineering cover across the cluster, supervise site operatives, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card at appropriate level; ECS Card if electrically qualified
• City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Understanding of Quality Management and continuous improvement desirable
• Duel or multi-skilled with core Electrical skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide Engineering Maintenance and breakdown support to hospital clusters
• Offer technical, Health, Safety and Environmental support to EDs and Hospital Managers
• Assist Engineering Technicians and Engineers across sites within the cluster
• Coordinate with Hospital Operations Manager to ensure appropriate engineering cover and on-call readiness
• Liaise with sub-contractors to ensure safe, efficient completed work and maintain records
• Line management responsibility for site-based engineering operatives
• Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed per SOPs
• Comply with mandatory training requirements
