Job summary

Circle Health Group in Glasgow (Ross Hall Cluster) seeks an Engineering Technician (Multiskilled) - Electrical/Mechanical. 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and on‑call rota across Ross Hall cluster sites.

The role involves non-clinical engineering work, maintenance planning, fault finding, and compliance with safety policies. Suitable candidates will have electrical/mechanical qualifications and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required; if electrically qualified, ECS Card required
• City&Guilds Part 3 / ONC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering essential
• Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical bias is essential
• Training to progress to RP (Responsible Person) in medical gas works and later AP (Authorised Person)
• UK driving licence required; DBS check will be passed

Responsibilities

• Support main Hospital, Clinics & Decontamination unit
• Ensure prompt completion of all work orders for planned maintenance, reactive work, and subcontract tasks
• Provide routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support at a hospital site
• Provide health, safety and environmental support and follow company policies
• Mentor and train additional site technicians or engineering assistants
• Provide engineering support to Local Hospital managers
• Demonstrate high engineering standards and team ethos
• Complete mandatory training
