Job summary

Circle Health Group,Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow, seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to join the Engineering department. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent contract and a salary of up to £47,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

You will lead maintenance and breakdown support across the hospital cluster, ensure safety standards, and manage on-site engineering staff, while coordinating with subcontractors and site managers to meet SLA and on-call

Qualifications

• Current CSCS Card at appropriate level; ECS Card if electrically qualified.
• City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering essential.
• Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical engineering essential.
• Understanding of Quality Management, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement desirable.
• Duel or multi-skilled with core skills preferably Electrical.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes and ACOPs.
• Clear understanding of Legionella prevention in hospital buildings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation and time management, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Sound fault finding techniques and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering maintenance and breakdown support to hospital cluster.
• Offer competent technical, health, safety and environmental support to EDs and managers.
• Assist Engineering Technicians and Assistants at all sites within the cluster.
• Liaise with Hospital Operations Manager to plan engineering cover to meet SLA and on-call needs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient work and proper records.
• Line management responsibility for site-based engineering operatives within cluster hospitals.
• Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance routines per SOP manuals.
• Comply with all mandatory training requirements.
