Job summary

Rapiscan Systems is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Aviation Checkpoint Inspection. The role leads programs from concept to delivery, partnering with chief engineers and cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines and budgets.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in program management within engineering environments, solid leadership, and PMI/Prince2 or Agile qualifications. This position emphasizes governance, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of Program/Project management experience, preferably in product/tech development.
• Line management or team leadership experience.
• Experience in new product development within an engineering environment.
• Experience managing full project life cycle from concept to launch.
• Experience managing detailed project schedules across multiple stakeholders.
• Prince2, PMP certification and good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with chief engineers and cross-functional teams on new product development.
• Manage day-to-day project activities and control execution; run regular meetings.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues with mitigations.
• Deliver all milestones per the product development process and report to senior management.
• Maintain project reporting and tracking tools.
• Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets and costs.
• Standardize governance processes and tools to share resources.
• Ensure governance frameworks are followed and documentation is maintained.
• Provide regular status updates on programs, processes and metrics.
• Assess resource needs at portfolio level with Engineering Director.
• Continuously evaluate programs to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Document project creation, development and execution with scope and justification.
