Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers in Gloucestershire seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site days, focusing on structural steel, bridges and heavy engineering projects across the UK and beyond.

You will direct engineers, ensure high-quality outputs, manage resources and shape engineering standards and capability within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in structural steel, bridges or heavy engineering helpful.
• Demonstrated leadership or management experience within engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of engineers.
• Oversee engineering design outputs including calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK and international design standards and codes.
• Manage engineering resources and project priorities for successful delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, systems and standards.
• Provide technical leadership for structural steel and bridge projects.
