Job summary

National Grid is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure Delivery team to lead the engineering and design integration of the North West London Upgrade. You will coordinate five external contractors, internal teams and design assurance functions to ensure safe, compliant delivery across Northwest London and beyond.

The role demands exceptional leadership, governance expertise, and a track record of delivering major infrastructure projects while maintaining strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong governance, CDM, health and safety knowledge.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design management across development and construction.
• Drive integration across substations, overhead lines, cables, and related infrastructure.
• Act as primary engineering interface between project managers, contractors and design assurance teams.
• Review contractor designs and support technical decision-making.
• Lead design reviews, forums and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment.
