Job summary

Morgan McKinley in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineering Delivery Director to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering organization across Systems, Hardware, Digital and Software disciplines, driving complex satellite and RF product development on schedule and within budget.

You will partner with the CTO and senior engineers to align strategy with execution, implement rigorous systems engineering practices, and oversee governance, budgeting, and bid responses across several concurrent

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in satellite communications or related R&D sectors.
• 3+ years in senior engineering leadership managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex electronics products with embedded software, RF, and mechanical design.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end satellite system architectures (GEO, MEO, LEO).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Systems, Hardware, Digital, and Software.
• Own daily execution, engineering processes, capacity planning, and governance to ensure high-quality program delivery.
• Design and refine an engineering organizational structure that scales with company growth.
• Manage forecast loading vs. capacity to inform bids and hiring; oversee the engineering budget, including CAPEX and R&D allocation.
• Assist with major RFI/RFP bid responses and present technical updates in board/executive meetings.
• Support the complete systems engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through to testing, production, and deployment.
