Job summary

Claims Recruitment Services Ltd. is recruiting for an Engineering & Construction Claims Adjuster on behalf of a Lloyd's / London Market insurer. The role handles Engineering and Construction claims globally, from notification to settlement.

You will proactively adjust claims, ensure adequate provisions, and collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, panel lawyers, adjusters, and service providers to achieve fair outcomes while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior experience in engineering or construction claims adjusting.
• Strong understanding of policy coverage and claims negotiation.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory and territorial issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with the Lloyd's insurance market is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively adjusting claims through to resolution.
• Ensuring sufficient financial provisions are held for all claims.
• Developing collaborative relationships with Underwriters, Actuaries and TPAs/Service Providers.
• Instructing and coordinating with Panel Lawyers, Adjusters and Experts to achieve best outcomes while controlling costs.
• Managing claims from initial notification through settlement.

Job description

We are recruiting for an Engineering & Construction Claims Adjuster on behalf of a highly regarded Lloyd's / London Market Insurer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of Engineering and Construction claims from around the world, and adjusting claims from their initial notification through settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively adjusting claims through to resolution.
• Ensuring that sufficient financial provisions are held for all claims.
• Developing collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in particular with the Underwriters and Actuaries.
• Ensuring effective technical oversight of TPAs / Service Providers via regular contact meetings, peer reviews, as well as technical file reviews.
• Instructing and proactively working with Panel Lawyers, Adjusters, and Experts to ensure the best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.

Key Requirements

• A Claims Handler with extensive prior experience of Engineering and or Construction claims adjusting.
• Understanding of policy coverage, claims negotiation skills and claims strategy.
• Understanding and applying legal, regulatory and territorial issues.
• Using strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of the Lloyd's insurance market is preferred.
• Acting with honesty, integrity and fairness at all times with the willingness to take responsibility and accountability.
• A positive, enthusiastic and confident disposition.
