Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Senior Engineer to deliver coastal and flood defence projects across the UK and Europe. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and technical skills in hydraulics, geotechnics, and BIM-enabled design.

You will work within the Environment-Resilience-Renewables team, collaborating with multiple business lines and staff to manage several projects simultaneously. Chartered status is preferred, with a background in civil engineering and 5+ years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (essential) and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or nearly Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering fluvial and/or coastal flood defence schemes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coastal and flood defence projects from feasibility to construction support.
• Lead design teams and coach junior staff.
• Check the work of others and ensure quality of outputs.
• Participate in bid development and provide technical inputs in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Work with UK and European teams across multiple projects.
