Job summary

Haskoning’s Environment-Resilience-Renewables team seeks a Senior Engineer to lead coastal and river flood defence projects, from feasibility through construction. You will coordinate with UK and European teams, apply digital engineering and BIM, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality design packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (essential) or equivalent; Chartered status preferred.
• Proven track record in delivering coastal or river flood defence projects; experience in design and construction stages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coastal and flood defence projects from feasibility to construction, coordinating with UK and European teams.
• Lead design teams and check work of others, ensuring quality and technical compliance.
• Prepare technical reports including options appraisal, feasibility studies and Works Information packages.
• Contribute to bids and business development with technical inputs.
• Coordinate with Environment-Resilience-Renewables group and other business lines.
