Job summary

WSP is seeking an enthusiastic Engineer/Senior Engineer – E&P – Fixed Plant to join our Rail Engineering Services team in the UK. You will lead Fixed Plant design within multi-disciplinary projects and coordinate design across the lifecycle, while providing technical guidance to internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery of one or more of the areas of expertise listed above.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle from initial feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, balancing priorities, making value and delivery judgments to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Technical knowledge to challenge individuals and teams on outputs and deliverables.
• A chartered professional, or working towards chartership, with a relevant Institution and a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
• Experience of undertaking CRE roles or the competency to do so.
• Understanding of client engineering assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fixed Plant aspects within larger multi-disciplinary technical teams for a number of our projects and support resolution of complex technical problems.
• Oversee and co-ordinate the development of Fixed Plant designs across all stages of the design lifecycle.
• With support from the wider technical team, provide technical advice to both internal company disciplines as well as clients.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve desired project outcomes.
• Potential to undertake CRE roles as required in accordance with NR/L2/INI/02009.
• Provide guidance, support and mentorship to Early Career Professionals.
